Brownsville road construction to impact travel at International Boulevard

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced the installation of concrete pavement on State Highway 4 (SH 4), or International Boulevard.

TxDOT's news release said the installation will impact travel for drivers in Brownsville this week, at the intersection of SH 4 and Roosevelt Street.

Road crews will close the east side of Roosevelt Street at the intersection, starting Monday, Aug. 19 through Friday, Aug. 23, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

This will mean drivers traveling north on State Highway 4, or International Boulevard, will not be able to make a right turn on Roosevelt Street.

To avoid delays, drivers are encouraged to plan and seek an alternate route.
