Brownsville mayor to discuss Biden's border visit

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville Mayor John Cowen is scheduled to speak about President Biden's visit to the border.

Biden met with border officials and personnel Thursday to discuss immigration policies and issues regarding people seeking asylum inside the United States.

Cowen is expected to discuss the "Brownsville Model" that is being utilized to guide migrants into the United States.

The mayor will begin his discussion at 6:30 p.m., at the Communications and Marketing & Convention and Visitors Bureau Complex in Brownsville.
