BPD: Couple attempted to buy tacos with stolen wallet

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a couple accused of using a credit card, they found at Stripes, to pay for tacos.

On July 15, a man lost his wallet at Stripes, located at the 6100 block of Highway 48.

According to a news release from the Brownsville Police Department, when the couple found the wallet, they went to Taco Chino and attempted to use the victim's credit card.

When the card was declined, the couple used cash found inside the victim's wallet, police said.

The victim's wallet contained important personal documents such as his social security card.
