BISD addresses 'false and misleading' social media post

BROWNSVILE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Independent School District released a statement Tuesday, calling a social media post regarding a board member "false and misleading."

"Brownsville ISD has been made aware of a false and misleading post circulating on social media regarding a BISD Board Member," the statement reads.

The district encourages the community to rely on official media channels for accurate information.

The BISD statement went on to say, "thank you for your understanding and continued support."
