BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — United States Customs and Border Protection officers at the Brownsville Port of Entry seized cocaine valued at more than $3.3 million.
On Dec. 15, CBP officers at the Veterans International Bridge referred a 2012 Ford, hauling a utility trailer driven by a 50-year-old Mexican national, to secondary inspection, according to a news release from CBP.

Authorities say the packages contained a total of 245.5 pounds of cocaine.
CBP officers seized the drugs and vehicle. The release added that Homeland Security Investigations arrested the driver, along with a passenger and initiated a criminal investigation.
