Annual public safety wellness seminar celebrates telecommunicators and dispatchers

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The second annual Public Safety Wellness Seminar focuses on the mental health and wellness of public safety professionals, particularly telecommunicators and dispatchers.

Mark your calendars for this event on Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center.

There will be three speakers, including Dr. Norma Villanueva, who will address mental health issues.

Last year's seminar had 300 attendees, highlighting the importance of the event. The seminar also honors the memory of Sandra Coronado with an award for the top telecommunicator in the Rio Grande Valley.
