An in-depth conversation with Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez

MCALLEN, Texas – Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez recently sat down for an in-depth podcast conversation with Rio Grande Guardian anchor Mark Hanna.

Much of the discussion focused on the Prosperity Task Force the judge established to tackle poverty in the region. And within the task force, the economic development component being spearheaded by the CEO Group.

But Judge Cortez also discussed other matters, such as affordable housing, public transportation and the county jail.
