America’s Best Restaurants to feature Brownsville taqueria

A Brownsville taqueria is going to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants, or ABR, a national media and restaurant marketing company that highlights local restaurants across the country. 

El Ultimo Taco Taqueria will be hosting ABR Roadshow on Dec. 9, where its popular dishes will be showcased and owner Joanna Hernandez will be interviewed about the eatery’s special place in the community, a news release stated. 

Restaurants featured on ABR Roadshow are selected based on customer reviews, menu items, social media presence and level of involvement with their community, the release stated, adding that they are also found through customer nominations, internal vetting or a restaurant applying to be featured.  

The family-owned taqueria opened in 2000 and has won various awards and accolades since then, with their most recent win stemming from a statewide competition in San Antonio where they won Best Tacos in Texas. 

To show their appreciation, El Ultimo Taco Taqueria will be giving away two $25 gift cards to their restaurant, according to a Facebook post. 

To enter the raffle, Facebook users need to post a comment on the post before Dec. 9. The first recipient will be randomly secreted during the visit with ABR, while the second recipient will be chosen and announced on the taqueria’s Facebook page following their episode’s premiere.
