PROGRESO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The United States Customs and Border Protection seized 35 pounds of cocaine at the Progreso International Bridge.
On Monday, Nov., 11 a CBP officer referred a 2013 Dodge to a secondary inspection. During the examination, authorities say they discovered 14 packages of cocaine hidden within the vehicle.
The agency says the packages of cocaine weighed 35 pounds and had a street value of $468,000.
CBP seized the narcotics and vehicle. Homeland Security Investigation special agents began a criminal investigation.
