2 men arrested following drug seizure at residence

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two men were arrested following a drug seizure, Brownsville police say.

Jose Antonio Gomez, 50, and Rodolfo Ramos Alvarez, 19, are charged with the manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

According to a news release from the Brownsville Police Department, Alvarez has an additional charge for unlawful carrying of a weapon.

On Thursday, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence, located on the 1900 block of E. Taylor Street.

Police say that during the investigation the home had been identified as being involved with the sale of illegal drugs.

Gomez and Alvarez were arraigned on Friday. Gomez was issued a $250,000 bond and Alvarez was issued a total bond of $255,000.
