100 gallons of diesel spill on McAllen road, delays expected

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of McAllen is experiencing traffic delays due to a diesel spill.

The eastbound lane of Highway 281 between Taylor Rd. and Ware Rd. is closed due to a diesel spill, according to authorities.

A post from the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office stated a saddle tank from a semi-tractor trailer ruptured spilling 100 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway.

Emergency crews are working to contain the spill and clear the roadway.
