TxDOT proposes to widen FM 3362/FM 2061

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation is proposing to widen FM 3362/FM 2061, also known as Jackson Road from SH 495 to Hall Acres Road in Hidalgo County.

TxDOT's news release also said the proposed improvements include widening the roadway to three lanes in each direction with a raised median. Providing dedicated turn lanes, constructing pedestrian and bicycle paths, and improving intersections.

A public meeting will be held on the proposed project to share information with the community and receive comments from the public. In-person and virtual options will be available.
