4Ever Family: Misty

1 week ago 41

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Every week, CBS 4 works to find a forever home for a Rio Grande Valley foster child as part of our “4Ever Family” partnership with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

17-year-old Misty is kind and warmhearted. She likes to care for animals and others. She is also very career-driven and would like to better her community, as she is looking to join a law enforcement agency sometime in the future. But first, she plans on attending college.

Academically, Misty works hard to get her grades in the A-B zone. She is on the tennis team and wants to try additional extracurricular activities at her school.

Misty develops her creative side in her personal time, as she creates art with oils, pastels, and paint. In addition to being an artist, she loves to read adventure-style novels.

Misty does not have pets. She volunteers at a pet facility, where she helps out in various ways, and hopes her future family will have pets.

Other likes she has are, dancing to the latest music or running out for a meal of one of her two favorite foods, tacos or pizza.

Misty’s dream family will love and guide her as she grows up to reach her full potential. If her future family has a few younger siblings and a pet or two … even better.

If you think you could be Misty's forever family or for another Texas child, call 1-800-233-3405. For more information visit www.adoptchildren.org where you can find a schedule of online public information meetings, and learn about the foster/adoption program.
