Martinez says when the accident occurred, both himself and his girlfriend were hit by the SUV.

"I didn't know what happened, I don't know what hit me left or right, I know I got hit through the back and she said I went with the motorcycle like this, never let it go but she jumped out of there," Martinez said.

Martinez was taken to the hospital where he says it will take months for him to recover. He added that at times during his recovery, he did not know his name when he was asked.

Martinez wishes the suspect would come forward to the police.

"Why did you hit me? Maybe you were on the phone, or drunk or whatever, you know you almost killed me," Martinez said.

He asks for drivers across the valley to be careful on the road and be aware of motorcyclists.

"My message for the drivers is get out the phones and keep your eyes on the highway because there's a bikers, a lot of bikers are being killed. Lately, on this month, two or three have been dead already. I could have been number four. So please understand what I'm talking about," he said.

He added, that whoever hit him had no mercy.
