Woman charged with misapplication of business funds

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Harlingen police arrested a woman accused of misusing funds from a business.

Jessica Annette Jimenez, 42, was arrested by police April 4 on charges of misapplication of fiduciary property.

Jimenez was employed by a local business in 2023, and in early 2025, the business owner filed a police report alleging possible theft.

Detectives later discovered that Jimenez allegedly made unauthorized charges totaling approximately $148,341 to the business owner's personal and business credit lines.

Jimenez was taken into custody and was given a bond of $20,000.
