WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Weslaco Police responded to a call on Sunday of a man on top of a water tower.
According to police, at around 8:52 p.m. Sunday, officers answered a call regarding a man who was experiencing a mental health crisis near Rodriguez Park.
When officers arrived, they located the man and immediately called the Weslaco Fire Department to initiate a rescue.


Police reported the man was unable to come down on his own, but was safely rescued and transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation.
