WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Weslaco Police Department is hosting its annual National Night Out featuring talent from the Weslaco Independent School District.
The event is taking place on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. at Weslaco City Hall.
The night will begin with a performance by Conjunto Pantera, followed by the Weslaco ISD student talent.
The following Weslaco ISD student programs are scheduled to perform at the event:
- Weslaco High Choir
- Weslaco Panther Cheer Youth Squad
- Weslaco High Mariachi
- Weslaco High Folklórico
- Lil Panthers & Lil Wildcats
- Cuellar Middle School Folklórico
- Mary Hoge Middle School Dazzlers
- Weslaco Wildcats Cheer Force
- Avante Garde Dance Team
- Weslaco East Mariachi
- Weslaco East Folklórico
- Cuellar Middle School Silver Stars
- Weslaco East Starlettes
The event will end with a special performance from Cojunto Salvaje.
Weslaco police asks guests to not block ATMs at bank locations, to be mindful when parking in local business areas and to be courteous to homeowners and avoid blocking driveways.
Additionally, residents are advised to look for posted signage and avoid parking in restricted areas to prevent being towed.
Attendees can park at the following locations:
- LRGVDC Parking Lot
- Lone Star National Bank
- Greater State Bank
- St. Joan of Arc parking will be available after 6:30 p.m.
- Grass area South of City Hall
- Mendez Cleaners for handicap parking
Those who plan to attend can expect a night full of fun, food, excitement and a Lucha Libre match by Combat Cult Wrestling.
