WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A home in Weslaco was has been considered a total loss after a fire broke out Monday.
The Weslaco Police Department stated the single-home fire broke out between Mile 6 1/2 and Mile 10 North.
Authorities say the home had a wooden frame and is considered a total loss. Three vehicles were damaged in the fire and one of the homes nearby sustained minor damage.
No injuries were reported by the Police Department. However, one pet is unaccounted for.
The Elsa volunteer fire department assisted the Weslaco Fire Department in the fire.
Authorities say the fire took place at 1:08 p.m.
County Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
