Weslaco East High school cancels Friday classes

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Weslaco Independent School District has announced that Friday classes have been canceled for Weslaco East High School.

According to Weslaco ISD, the school is experiencing a power outage. For the severity of the issue, students from Weslaco East High School will resume classes on Monday.

Repairs do not have an estimated time, but students are asked to check their Google Classroom classes for assignments for the day.

Staff will report to the main gymnasium at their assigned reporting times. Varsity athletics will resume in the afternoon, with the football team reporting at 10:00 a.m. for their game in Corpus Christi.

The release adds that all other schools will have classes at their regular scheduled time.
