Weslaco distributes sandbags ahead of weather watch

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Weslaco is hosting a sandbag distribution in anticipation of heavy rainfall this week in the Rio Grande Valley.

Sandbags are currently available for residents and businesses.

According to the City of Weslaco, residents will be allowed up to six sandbags per household.

Weslaco businesses will be allowed up to 12 sandbags.

The city will offer two stations: a self-service station and a pre-filled sandbag station.

The pre-filled station will be available to seniors and people with disabilities.

Both stations are open at the Weslaco City Hall, 255 S. Kansas Ave.
