Week 3: High School Football Team of the Week

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Valley Sports Central has nominated three high school football teams to claim the title of Team of the Week.

The nominees for Week 3 are Mission Veterans, La Villa, and Palmview.

Here are some recent highlights of our nominees.

Mission Veterans

Coach David Gilpin's team beat PSJA to improve to 3-0. With the victory, the Patriots surpassed their win total from 2024. 

La Villa

The Cardinals ended their three-game losing streak to rival Santa Rosa by taking down the Warriors, 26-15, in the annual Sugar Bowl rivalry game.

Palmview

The Lobos cruised to a 50-20 victory over Lopez to improve to 3-0 this season.
