Week 2 of early voting, numbers increase in Hidalgo, Cameron Counties

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — As early voting comes to a close, numbers are still increasing at Hidalgo and Cameron County polling locations.

In Cameron County, 1,092 voters cast their ballots. The Brownsville Public Library had the highest voter turnout compared with the other 20 polling locations.

Of the 29 polling locations in Hidalgo County, the number of ballots rose to 2,039, and 25 were cast by mail.

Early voting ends on Oct. 31. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
