Week 2: High School Football Team of the Week

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — As football season continues and the ValleyCentral Sports Team has nominated three high school football teams to claim the title of Team of the Week.

This week's nominees are Brownsville Rivera Raiders, Edinburg Bobcats and McAllen Bulldogs!

In week one, the Raiders beat Edinburg North 45 to 44. Johnny Garza earned his first victory as Rivera's head coach.

The Bobcats stunned Vela with a final score of 19 to 6. Joe Peña earned his first win as Edinburg's head coach.

The Bulldogs shone in all three phases as they cruised to a 54 and 10 win over PSJA Memorial.
