While a light jacket was all you really needed this morning, you may want to make sure a slightly heavier jacket is handy for Tuesday morning. The big area of high pressure that has settled in will be helping provide clear skies, cool/dry air, and almost not wind tonight. That combination will help our temperatures drop into the 40's for lows across the Rio Grande Valley.

This will be the coldest night for the week. We will see our winds shift around more to the south and southeast on Tuesday, which will start a gradual warming trend that will take us into the weekend. Overall, the week is looking pretty awesome, unless you are hoping for some rain. Conditions should remain dry with our sunglasses getting a good workout all week.

The timing of our next cold front is still a bit uncertain. At this point, the next meaningful cooldown may not really hit until next Monday.
