STARBASE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Ahead of Starship's ninth launch, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is anticipated to discuss the company's future plans to inhabit other planets.

Musk is expected to speak to his employees and the community about plans to build a human presence on Mars.

Additionally, the SpaceX CEO is expected to talk about how Starship is the "world's most powerful and capable rocket to build a human presence on the red planet over the next decade."

According to SpaceX, the next opportunity to launch from Earth to Mars opens in late 2026.

"SpaceX was founded with the goal to make life multiplanetary and develop the technologies needed to make this goal a reality. SpaceX is developing the Starship launch system, the worlds first fully rapidly reusable rocket in south Texas newest city, Starbase," the SpaceX website reads.

As previously reported by ValleyCentral, SpaceX plans to launch Starship for the ninth time from Starbase with a focus on Super Heavy, its fully reusable rocket.
