WATCH LIVE: Who will win this year's Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Award

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — After an entire school year of highlighting local teachers of the Rio Grande Valley who dedicate their lives to their students, it is time to name the Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Award recipient.

This year our host for the Golden Apple series and Morning CBS 4 Anchor Marco Ramirez will host a special gala with all the nominees featured this year. During the ceremony, Marco will award this year's Golden Apple Teacher of the Year.

The best part is the teacher's do not know which one of them has won the award and will be surprised in front of their fellow teachers, family and friends.

The winner will receive a $2,500 check, from our sponsor Vexus Fiber Internet.
