EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — As far as championships are concerned, the Vipers reign supreme when it comes to bringing glory to the RGV. They lead the G-League with four trophies won.

That is the past and the Vipers will look to build on that winning tradition when they open the season this Friday against the OKC Blue.

The Vipers made the playoffs last year, but had an early exit at the hands of the Salt Lake City Stars. This season, Coach Joseph Blair and company will look to have another season in which they make the playoffs, but this time will hope to make a deep playoff run.

Last season, the Vipers averaged 116 points per game but gave up 113 points to the opposition. No doubt Coach Blair will look to improve on the team's defense while still deploying one of the top offenses in the league.

The journey to being the last one standing starts Friday, Nov. 7th.
