BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The search for a murder suspect wanted out of Victoria has come to an end after he was arrested in Brownsville.
A warrant of arrest was issued Saturday, Aug. 30, for Charles Lee Brazil Jr., 31, after Victoria police say he opened fire overnight inside a local business.
Victoria police report that one person died of their injuries as a result of the shooting.
Brazil was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, by the United States Marshal Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force.

The Brownsville Police Department, the Houston Police Department, the U.S. Marshal Service, and the FBI assisted with the arrest.
"The safety of our community remains our top priority, and we will continue to stand alongside our local, state, and federal partners in protecting Brownsville and beyond," the Brownsville Police Department announced.
