Vehicle fire causes traffic on Edinburg I-69C

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Traffic is being rerouted in the area of I-69C near Canton Road in Edinburg as crews work to put out a vehicle fire, city officials said Tuesday.

Officials say southbound traffic is being rerouted and the on-ramp at University is closed.

Vehicles are also being diverted off the expressway at the off-ramp before Freddy Gonzalez Drive.

Drivers are advised to take alternative routes or expect delays.

The Edinburg Fire Department and Edinburg Police Department is at the scene.
