HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Thanks, in part, to the large area of high pressure that has been bringing us some rather spectacular weather the last few days, a couple more will follow.
That high pressure provides sinking air in the atmosphere that keeps clouds to a minimum and, consequently, limits rain chances along with it. As our winds have been shifting around to the southeast, that has helped bring in warmer air and a tad more humidity, which we will feel the next couple of days.
The humidity will still be moderate, but our temperatures will make it feel more like a second summer.

Our Valley average highs will be into the 90s on Friday and Saturday with plenty of sunshine.
Then on Sunday, we get our next cold front. A lack of moisture ahead of it will really limit rain chances. We expect this to be more about the drier and much cooler air that will be arriving on Sunday. It will also be a bit breezy on Sunday.
By Monday, we will be looking at temperatures that may only reach about 70 degrees for a high. So keep those light jackets in a spot of your closet that will be easy to grab come Monday morning.
