Valley Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Bryan Hale attends Empty Bowls event

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley hosted its fourth annual Empty Bowls event on Thursday in Brownsville and Edinburg.

CBS4 Chief Meteorologist Bryan Hale attended the event aimed at addressing food insecurity in the Rio Grande Valley.

According to the Food Bank RGV, approximately 80% of people in the region lack reliable food sources.

The fundraiser featured food, drinks, raffles, silent auctions, and a salsa contest.
