Valley experiences severe weather Saturday morning

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The National Weather Service reported multiple thunderstorms passed through the mid and lower Rio Grande Valley early Saturday morning.

Heavy rainfall, gusty winds and hail accompanied last night's storm resulting in a severe thunderstorm warning for Cameron and Willacy County throughout the night.

At 5:15 a.m. the severe thunderstorm warning had expired as the strong storms continued to move eastward.

Heavy rain and strong winds had also affected parts of Hidalgo County.

BPUB reporting over 1,000 customers without power

Viewers have reported hail in parts of Raymondville and throughout the Valley.
