Valley Baptist Health accepting donations for cereal drive

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Valley Baptist Health System has kicked off its annual cereal drive to help provide breakfast to food-insecure families.

The hospital is partnering with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley to accept donations for its Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive.

Last year, Valley Baptist donated nearly $4,000 and 3,000 boxes of cereal to help families in need throughout the Valley.

Valley Baptist and the Food Bank RGV are now accepting donations of cereal boxes throughout the week.

At Valley Baptist-Brownsville, donations can be dropped off at the Stillman Lobby information desk. At Valley Baptist-Harlingen, donations can be delivered to the hospital's South Tower Lobby.

Food donations will be accepted through Monday, June 16.
