UTRGV worker stranded on boom lift rescued by Edinburg fire crews

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Edinburg firefighters were praised for their immediate response after rescuing a worker stranded on a boom lift.

A worker with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley was rescued after getting stuck on the boom lift when it malfunctioned on Wednesday morning.

Footage shared by the City of Edinburg shows fire crews reaching the UTRGV worker.

"Thanks to the quick and skilled response of our firefighters, he was safely brought down," the City of Edinburg announced.
