US Army, TSTC Harlingen, iHeart Radio team up for mural

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — TSTC Harlingen, along with iHeart Radio and the United States Army, partnered for a mural on the campus.

On Monday, the Army's recruiting battalion out of San Antonio and Harlingen city officials unveiled the mural that honors area veterans.

"When iHeart approached us about collaborating, we thought it was a great idea," said Eladio Jaimez, Provost Office, TSTC. "We take a lot of pride in supporting our veterans. If you look at the mural, there's a nice, big, beautiful map of the Rio Grande Valley, the four-county area. That's what TSTC represents, not just Harlingen, but really across the Valley, and for us to be able to partner with the U.S. Army, iHeart Radio, we're very thankful."

A representative for the U.S. Army hopes students see the army as a viable career option, with over 200 careers available.
