ROMA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The United States and Border Protection Field Operation officers seized more than $1.3 million dollars worth of cocaine.
On May 24, a tractor-trailer with a shipment of soft drinks was attempting to cross into the United States from the Roma Port of Entry, according to a release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Officers at the port of entry referred the tractor tailer to a secondary inspection.
During the second examination, officers found 24 packages containing a total of 101.5 pounds of alleged cocaine within the vehicle.
The cocaine had a street value of $1,355,233, the release stated.
