TxDOT: Road closures underway in Edinburg for widening project

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced its upcoming road closures in Pharr for a roadway widening project.

A project to widen FM 1925 (Monte Cristo Road) to a 4-lane roadway with a center turn lane, between Alamo Road and Sharp Road in Edinburg begins on Monday.

Construction crews will be present daily between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. working on the project.

TxDOT reminds drivers to slow down, pay attention, not tailgate and allow extra time for their commutes in the work zone.
