TxDOT announces nightly expressway road closures for pavement repairs

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced nightly road closures due to pavement repairs.

The road closures are taking place from Sunday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 24, on the eastbound I-2 mainlanes, between FM 1015 and the Hidalgo/Cameron county lines, on mile marker 166.

Road crews will be working from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the scheduled road closures.

Drivers are advised to plan accordingly and reroute if necessary.

Additionally, motorists are reminded to stay alert, and slow down while driving in the work zone area.
