TxDOT announces night closures of EB I-2 in Harlingen

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced traffic will be diverted so crews can replace an overhead digital message board.

From Wednesday, July 23, to Thursday, July 24, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., all eastbound main lanes of Interstate 2 (I-2) will be closed at the Lewis Lane exit in Harlingen.

Traffic will be diverted to the I-2 eastbound road at the Lewis Lane exit ramp and will be allowed to re-enter the expressway at the next available ramp, according to TxDOT.
