McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced a two-week road closure will soon be in effect in south McAllen.
The road closure will begin on Monday, Sept. 22, on Ridge Road at the I-2 eastbound frontage road, next to the McAllen Medical Center.

The road closure is part of the I-2/I-69C Interchange project, where crews will be working to reconstruct the intersection.
Construction is expected to be complete by Friday, Oct. 3.
Detour signs will be in place for alternative routes.
All work is weather permitting.
