Turkeys for Teachers now available to all district staff

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Daniel Garza with DTM Realty discusses the annual Turkey for Teachers event.

With Thanksgiving a month away, DTM realty announces the event has broadened its reach. Instead of just teachers, Garza said they have now opened up to all school district employees, including retired teachers.

"Bus drivers, cafeteria, administration, counselors, principals, everyone's welcome to come. Everyone gets a chance," said Garza.

Garza added they want to help those who are helping children every day.

In addition, proof of employment with your respective school district is required.

There are three events at different Bert Ogden locations:

• Nov. 8 Bert Ogden Ford in Lyford from 10 a.m. to noon
• Nov. 15 Bert Ogden Chrysler in Harlingen from 10 a.m. to noon
• Nov. 22 Bert Ogden Fiesta Nissan in Edinburg from 10 a.m. to noon
