HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A simple, disorganized area of low pressure is bubbling over the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico well south of the Rio Grande Valley.
The National Hurricane Center is calling this area to move northwest over the Bay of Campeche with a 30% chance that it could become a tropical depression.

None of the data so far points directly to this potential depression impacting the RGV, but it could drive minimal energy and moisture this far north, increasing our chances for rain on Sunday and early next week, Monday.
