Tropical Development

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A broad area of low pressure could form over the weekend across the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Conditions appear conducive for some slow development into early next week. The chances for further development are at 20% as of Wednesday morning.

Rain chances will increase for the Rio Grande Valley early next week. The accumulated rainfall totals could reach up to five inches over the next seven days for some parts of the Valley.
