'Total loss': Mobile homes destroyed in Edinburg fire

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two mobile homes were deemed a total loss following a fire in Edinburg Wednesday morning.

According to the Edinburg Fire Department, firefighters responded to the fire on the 1400 block of N. Closner.

The blaze originated from one mobile before quickly spreading to the neighboring unit. Fire officials say both homes are a total loss.

At the scene, firefighters were able to contain the fire and prevent it from further damaging surrounding homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
