MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The funeral for Border Patrol Agent Alejandro De Luna will be held today in Mission.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission at 620 N. Dunlap Ave.
The burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission at 2520 Inspiration Rd.
Agent De Luna, 40, was killed in a vehicle rollover while on his way to work April 8.
According to his LinkedIn account, he graduated from Mission High School in 2003. He was a member of the U.S. Army from August 2010 until November 2014. He was a platoon sergeant who was responsible for a 36-man Mechanized Infantry Platoon.
