Texas removes more than 1M people from voter polls

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Texas has removed more than a million people from voter polls.

The voting roll clean-up found 463,000 people were on the suspense list, meaning they did not respond to the requested certification forms.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott says he is focused on the 6,500 migrants who are registered and over 1,900 who have a voting history.

Over 457,000 registered voters are deceased, making it the second-largest group.

Elections Administrator Remi Garza advises those who have lost a loved one to, return the voter registration certificate.

"If you receive a letter from us indicating that you have information that the person may be deceased, you should respond to that letter for us, because we have to have something in our records as to why we removed that person from the polling list," Garza said.

Governor Abbott calls mass removal "securing elections from fraud."
