HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Police Department is investigating a crash that killed a teen driver Saturday night and left three others with major injuries.
Police say the crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday on South Parkwood Drive.
According to a Harlingen police spokesperson, a 16-year-old driver crashed into a brick fence and had to be removed from the vehicle.
The driver died at the hospital, police said.
Three other teenagers who were in the car at the time of the crash remain at a Harlingen hospital. Two of the teens are in serious condition, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
