PALMVIEW, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Palmview Police Department is asking for help in identifying three people involved in an aggravated robbery that left one woman injured.
At 2:38 a.m. on May 17, authorities responded to a single-vehicle accident at the Stripes Convenience Store, located at 806 Palma Drive.
Shortly after, a young woman reported her vehicle was stolen at a nearby Whataburger. Authorities were able to connect the two reports and discovered that the stolen vehicle was involved in the Stripes crash.
The woman who reported her vehicle was stolen stated that her foot was run over in the robbery as she attempted to stop the driver from taking her car away.
The unidentified man who stole her vehicle had two women with him, according to a release from the City of Plamview.
The man, who was driving the stolen car, allegedly collided with a barrier located at the Stripes Convenience Store diesel pumps and ran away after impact with the two other suspects.
An investigation into the incident revealed that before the crash the three suspects were seen walking into the Whataburger at approximately 2:30 a.m. before stealing the vehicle.
Police describe the first suspect as a man wearing a gray polo shirt with number three on the right sleeve, light colored jeans, black tennis shoes, and a bandage wrapped right hand.
The second suspect is described as a woman wearing a flowered shirt with a light-colored jean skirt and beige sandals. The third suspect is described as a woman wearing an orange flowered bareback shirt, and jean shorts with slip-on beige sandals
Palmview Police are urging anyone with information on the incident or the identities of the suspects to come forward. Witnesses can contact the Palmview Crime Stoppers Hotline at (956) 584-8477.
All calls made to the tips line are anonymous, and if the information provided leads to an arrest and conviction, callers could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.
