Suspect in Weslaco homicide to be arraigned

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man who turned himself in to police, claiming he had killed a woman inside a home in Weslaco, is scheduled to appear before a judge Friday.

The unidentified man reportedly walked into the Alamo Police Department overnight on Thursday to turn himself in, prompting a homicide investigation in Weslaco.

Weslaco police responded to the murder scene at the 600 block of W. 11th St. and found a woman's body inside the home.

According to neighbors, the man and woman had recently moved into the home.

Police have not determined the relationship between the suspect and the woman who was killed.
