SAN JUAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The suspect connected to an assault and pursuit, which later resulted in a four-vehicle crash with police, has been arrested.
Jose Luna, 58, is accused of assaulting his ex girlfriend and placing a child in danger.
San Juan Police Chief Leandro Sifuentes said Luna used force to take the woman’s car away from her and a pursuit began. Authorities added that the case was later classified as a robbery.

The pursuit ended with a San Juan police unit being involved in a four vehicle crash near the intersection of N. Veterans Blvd. and E. Sioux Rd.
Multiple people, including the officer in the crash, were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. The San Juan Police Chief said no major injuries were reported.
Luna is set to be arraigned at 4 p.m. Friday and is anticipated to face the following charges:
- Robbery
- Child endangerment
- Evading with motor
- Resisting Arrest
- Assault on Peace Officer
